In the Heart of Lightness:

A Small Village in Zambia

In june of 2014 we flew to Tanzania and traveled across the plains to Zambia.  We were filled with the sights, sounds, smells and feelings of the cultures of the region.  The highlight of the trip was our time in a small village in the northwest area.  Our nephew was serviing as a Peace Corps volunteer, as we did in Panama several years ago.  We were very warmly welcomed and got to see how these people lived in a world without modern sanitatin, very limited access to health care and minimal education, where most people are married and have children by the time they are 15.  They are some of the loveliest people I have ever met.
